Wheel calibrations reset during and before races

i recently got the Logitech g290 for Xbox one and it keeps resetting the wheel lock calibration. Either between races or during them even it just goes back to full rotation. 

It's really annoying!! I have tried switching profiles to see if it makes a difference and also changing the settings within the profile but nothing changes!! Any ideas?

When I am ingame my engineer keeps telling me I'cant understand pls repeat your question. But the problem is that I do not have a mic plugged in. Any help? It happens about 3 times a race (25%)

F1 2017 grip and aero compared too 2016

Anyone else not really seeing any difference in grip and aero levels in 2017 compared too 2016? I find the cars are pretty bad through flat out corners and switch back corners.Maybe I just need too improve but the cars don't feel any different to 2016 too me.

Now I know alot of you would be thinking " you just won your first race? ****?"


Let me explain.


I've played racing games all my life and I've used a controller through out. With this game I decided to be different and buy a wheel. The Logitech G29. 


I do 100% races and when I bought the game I started with a controller and pretty much nearly finished Australia. 


I had 12 laps left and paused and came off the game. The next day I went out and bought my wheel. I thought it would be easy to adjust but I was wrong. 


With 12 laps left I was I was leading and 1 second ahead of my team mate "Vettel" and 43 seconds ahead of third "Perez". 


I was so bad with the wheel that when the race ended I was 45 seconds behind Vettel and 0,500 ahead of Perez. 


Since then I've asked for advice. I've adjusted settings with the wheel and left career mode and just practiced over and over again. 


Today I went on and did China and I won the race :D I was so chuffed but also tired lol. So thank you to this forum for all the help.

So, I've been doing a co - op with my friend recently an we've noticed a glitch; so when we qualify, we may sometimes leave and later go to the race. When we do this we notice that off the start our tyres are about 40% before we even start. We decided to try again to see if it was just a blip, but each time we re - did it the percentage would go up about 3% each time. I thought you should know about this.

What do you think about Monaco difficulty level?

I've noticed that Monaco is on another level talking about AI difficulty. I can race with AI 70% and arrive on latest pos with a sauber, but when going to Monaco I can't even finish 2 laps because trying to keep the same speed of AI.
I had same problems also on F1 2016 trough. Should this track leveled a bit down ain't?

 Auto save not work me always comes back to Brazil day off 3 and the season was over but today I went and probe 3 times and I always go back to Brazil I do not know how to fix it

I'm a big fan of Codemasters games and drive most of the time in Dirt 4 and F1 2017.
To push my Gaming Rig I worked on an Android Companion App, which is now finally released. Of course it supports the mentioned Games and also DiRT Rally, GRID Autosport, DiRT 3, DiRT 2, F1 2016 and more.

The app was developed with you (the users) in mind. It should be as simple and user-friendly as possible, I've automated the whole setup part. You must not enter an IP Address nor Port, the App includes an auto discovery feature to find your pc. Some games require configuration in config files, but the app does that for you too.

Feature for PC Users only: Map buttons on your wheel/keyboard/input device to switch between pages of the app (On the consoles this is not possible, because the input devices cannot be readout)


Multiple shift light patterns, the gif shows the pattern where the Medium LED's (red) are turned on in Left -> Right direction, the High LED's (blue) are turned on at once. The Low LED's would be turned on when DRS is activated. Other shift light patterns (Left -> Right, Inside -> Outside, ...) are not covered in this clip.

Please Nerf the Assists - Assists Users Exploiting Setups

In the beta once again no assists was faster, but now that this game is released and the leader boards have settled the assists user are spiking at the top.

Even when using the same setup assists are looking about  0.2-0.5 faster depending on the track.  The problem is that you are not taking into account how assist users can exploit the setups.

Prime example is how they can use 100% brake pressure and not get a penalty for that.  No driver in real life could ever do that, and when I try this with no assists on a wheel it is instant lockup at not even half braking.  There is no chance for me being able to do that.  They can also run a lower wing setup because the car is more stable.

As for traction, I can make the setup just about as good as medium traction control, but then I am compromising other aspects of the car like turn in and high speed cornering which assist users do not have to worry about.

Why is it that in the beta you always make them slower, but then when the game is released you bump them back up?  Are you just satisfying the diehard players because you know for a beta more of them may be no assists than when the general public gets the game?

You guys are going to do E Sports which is exactly what you should be doing as the physics are the best attempt yet and the cars are really fun to drive, but how on earth are you going to incorporate that with assists being imbalanced?  Will they be banned from that?

Sorry because I really do HATE writing these columns and the debate for an against will ensue, but seriously there is no incentive to run no assists, and its a shame because if you do that it really dumb downs the best physics yet from Codemasters. 

I just hope that someone from Codemasters reads this.  I would be really curious to hear what someone like Greco feel about this one.

Hi brand new on the forums and I have a quick question. When a new patch is released does it update an existing career mode or do I have to start again to get the benefits from it?

When is the patch 1.7? The game is so not playable and our league f1-gaming-community.de can not start. One is looking forward to the game and nothing goes.
Sound does not work when you are in multiplayer, etc.
Tell me when it's time.

Has anyone else noticed their car moving to the left or right of its on accord?

It isn't a big, sudden swerve, more a slight drift...but it is noticeable.

I thought maybe it was the circuit, slight changes in camber or what have you, but it happens on the flattest, straightest parts of any given circuit.

Am I imagining this or has anyone else experienced it?

Seriously? No create-a-team in this??

Madden has been doing create a team since the year 2001 I believe. What on earth is code masters doing? This game is so cut and dry, I can't even re-arrange pre existing drivers to new teams. Why on earth is it not part of this game to start a team from ground up... design cars, color schemes, etc. I wish 2k sports would get the rights to this game, they would make it right. I don't think people at codemasters think above and beyond very well.

There are way too many kerbs in this game that are too high and will send you flying if you hit them. The most problematic for me have been turns 4 and 5 in Monza, 6 and 7 in Hungaroring and half of them in Baku. These are pretty damn annoying because they aren't nearly this high in real life.

Slicks in Intermediate conditions are a joke

Seriously, what is the point of having intermediates if slicks perform as good or even better when it's raining?
I just had a 50% race at Spa. There were 9 laps to go when it started to rain. I went in for intermediates 3 laps later, because I lost already 8 seconds per lap, there were raindrops all over my face and my tires produced a lot of spray. So I changed my tires just to realize that it's even worse on inters, like if I was on ice. Two laps later DRS was disabled, but the AI stayed on slicks and were still faster. I lost 9 places and 45 seconds because slicks were better in rainy conditions than **** intermediates.

If it gets wet slicks should have a huge performance drop, it should be nearly impossible even to stay on track when there is already a lot of spray.
So either the visuals are more than wrong or the slicks have invisible treads in it.

Today, we (me and my friends) started a F1 2017 coop championship, but after the first race we decided to stop there because actually this game is completely unplayable,
BUGS everywhere!
- From the beginnig there was the green flag, with no reason, until the end of the race...
- Random Blue flags, I was in P1, and then i got blu flag... WHAT? 10sec penalty... seriously?
- Random penalty, my friend got 5 sec penalty during the pit-stop for unfair overtaking... ****?
- Race completly not synchronized, i saw one of my friend in P20, but he was in P7, then he's got a penalty because he dosen't let me overtaking, (blue flags)...
- One of my friend crash into another one, but this one dosen't see anything, he dosen't even see him...
- AI is completly unbalanced, the first 10 AI drivers finish the race from P11 to P20, but other drivers, those who dosen't makes Q3, they finished the race from P2 to P10, because they did only 1 Pit Stop, while other did two...

- I can't see any cars behind me, idiot...

- No, I'm in P14......
All of us: What the ****?!

Fortunatly we play without Saftey car...

So, my question is? Someone has tested this game? I mean, AC: Unity at launch was in a better state... I'm a big fan of CM from a long time, but this... this is ****!

AI difficulty and lap time at tire / fuel save training

Hi,

imho with higher AI settings the minimum lap times for fuel and tire saving challenges in career are scaling a bit too hard.
I like to have challening races and not easily getting top 3 with a bad / medium car (playing career with Sauber)
On AI level 40 it's pretty easy getting fuel / tire challenge purple and still having 2-3 sec time left. But that's a level where i easily become 2nd / 3rd and still making errors while driving every now and then.
AI level 70-75 seems about right. Usually i get a medium ranking, top 10 when i don't make much errors - which seems about right when driving with Sauber.
But on that level i need to race like crazy to just beat the lap times in fuel / tire savings, despite that i would have time to save fuel / tires...
