Qualifying Duration not correct

i didn't see anyone complaining about this. As in F1 2015 if you are still out on track when the qualifying timer goes to zero but you can't finish the lap anymore the game stops and qualifying is over. But ai cars are still out there and could finish the lap because they passed the finish line before the counter was zero. It happens as well when you watching ai cars from the pitbox. It seems that the game only takes you into account and doesn't seem to care about ai cars. 

Has nobody realized this or am I just really bad in searching this forum
