Hey guys,
I have just purchased a Logitech G29 steering wheel for my PC. Which is a big step for me, as I've always driven racing games with keyboard (and all assists on except brake assist and pitlane assist). My competitiveness against AI was always pretty good (between Expert and Legend AI level). But of course driving keys is not ideal, even if I did always enjoy it that way.
So my main question is; what is the best way to transition from keyboard to steering wheel / pedals? Should I first use the same assists as I did before and just get used to the wheel first, and then slowly turn of the assists? Or would it be better to take the plunge and immediately turn off all assists?
I guess there are pro's and con's to both approaches, but I am curious what you guys think and advise. I am mainly thinking about frustration I may / will encounter if I turn all assists off at once.
Any other tips you guys have got are welcome as well. On which track / team should I start practicing, etc.
