Any more than 5 engine parts?

Hi guys I no if you use a 5th engine part you get a grid penalty but I thought you were allowed more than 5, I must be wrong to think this but I'm at monza in my career with sauber and all my parts are goosed now, I understand where I've gone wrong just I thought I were allowed more than 5
