In real life the 2015 engine in the back of the Toro Rosso won't receive any performance updates this year, and you could already tell in Spain and Canada that it's hurting their performance more and more. With that I have to wonder if in the first year of career (if you start with Toro Rosso) the engine upgrades for that team are blocked?
Personally I would think it realistic if it was, but I can also understand for players that they wouldn't want to slip backwards throughout their first season (though it wouldn't matter to much as long as the career goals shift to match). Of course car upgrades will still happen, but engine could be locked for season 1)
What do you guys think / prefer?
