Wheel disconnect issue

I just fired the game up again after some months, and for whatever reason, randomly during the race, all my inputs will cease to be accepted, and it will lock at whatever the last input is (which ofcourse is always turning into a wall). I played Dirt rally just a bit before didn't have any issue, but I didn't play it as long. I tried resetting my wheel and it made zero difference, anyone experience this before?

Using a Fanatec CSR.
