Ok guys, alrite...?
I posted something into this forum a while back about how it was possible that I'm basically cannon fodder in online races. Got some useful replies, so here I am again, asking you brothers for advice.
After my last message, I trained pretty hard. I'm a working class hero so I don't have hours to spare but I put in a minimum of 2 hours a day. I actually joined a racing league to have some clean races and be able to get my speed up whilst talking to my racing mates, but all has been in vain. Now you think I might be slow because I'm impatient, and to a degree, that's true, but I just have this minor feeling that I'm focussing on improving minor things, while I may have the basics wrong.
I'm not a technical dude, I don't know how to upload movies from my gameplay to the internet, so I will do my best to explain my driving. You are allowed to have a good laugh, but I would really appreciate it when some people could give me some valuable improving points after they are done laughing.
So I drive with automatic gears, traction control on, braking assists off and anti-lock brakes on. I use the 'corners only' racing line. Now, when I get up to a corner, I actually watch the racing line. When it turns yellow, I immediately get off the throttle, and when it turns red, I push my brakes in for a 100%. After, I try to keep some speed by letting it coast through the corner, and when the line turns green, I push in my throttle a 100%. I have a feeling that I'm doing it wrong. Sometimes I have loads of understeer or oversteer while exiting but people seem to easily overtake me since they harness far more speed out of the corners and they dont have understeer.
Please tell me, what do I doooooo...
PS: my tyre-wear is some of the worst, so some insights are needed there aswell...
