Does anyone know who will be making future F1 games? Part of me wants CM to get the license because of the good job they did with 2016 but then again, something fresh is always welcomed. If CM retains the license I hope they build the game from the ground up. F1 2016 is beginning to look old in terms of graphics and UI. The physics feel a bit dated as well compared to games like Pcars which simulate more parameters. The career mode in 2016 is acceptable at best, I really hope this gets fixed to increase longevity. For 2017 I would like to see a real career mode rather that repeating 10 seasons with the same spec cars with varying performances. My suggestion for career mode: CM needs to get the license for a GP2 car and a formula Renault 3.5 car, forget the team and tracks from the official series, all they need is just the car. Career modes starts off with you racing in the GP2 series. All the GP2 and FR 3.5 cars are the same spec and color, or use fictious liveries, driver names can be fictious or use the names of CM employees. The season will consist of the 8 easiest tracks on the official 2017 calendar. If you finish the season in the top 3 you will get a contract to race for one of the bottom 3 teams in the F1 2017 season or you can move onto the Formula Renault 3.5 series. The FR 3.5 series will consist of the 8 most technical tracks of the official 2017 calendar. If you finish the FR 3.5 season in the top 3 then you get a contract to race for a tier 2 team. Contracts for Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull are only available once you get into F1 and prove yourself. Once your in F1, the career works like F1 2016 with some rebalancing to R and D and you can be demoted for not accomplishing team objectives but this will happen more realistically. For example, if you sign with Haas as the number one driver and at the end of the season you did not meet the team objective you will get demoted to the next lower team where that driver did not accomplish the team objective. If every driver met the team objective below you, then you will be demoted back to the Formula Renault series.
F1 games have been around for a very long time but I don't recall any game having a true "live the life" career mode.
