Getting the settings right for my Career, Help!

(I've restarted Australia 5 times!!)

Platform: Xbox One
Controls: Xbox One Elite Controller.
Difficulty: Legend.
Assists: No Assists, everything off.
Other: 50% Race, Pit Assist off,  Medium P and Full Q, Nameplates off.

I have a mindset of not running any assists and playing on Legend difficulty. I ran F1 2015 on Legend, no assists and have a few 1xx lap-times on the leader-boards.

Starting with the Manor the only thing that is keeping it realistic for me is the Track Acclimatization Program where I can get Green and it's feels good as I push to achieve that. Now with the Tyre Management Program I can just about keep it in the Green but then I fail on the Pace at least 1-2 sec's off the pace. The Qually Pace Program I am the same 1-2 sec's off. Same goes with Qually and Race.

Expert is super easy and doesn't feel Legit so what do I do?

I feel that if I put ABS and Med TC it could make it better for me but I feel like I am cheating myself. 

Anyone else in the similar situation got any tips or do I just bite the bullet and put on Med TC and ABS?
