Unfortunately same old same old from codemasters

I have bought every f1 game since Microprose f1 in 1992 (I was very young). That was until last year, f1 2015 was the first I hadn't bought, over the years the game play had got less and less and with the absence of a career mode, I just couldn't see the point.

2016 after viewing and reading a lot I was excited, preorder was placed and I waited. I was so pleased when I first played, the game looks amazing, cars still feel a little like they are floating above the track instead of planted one it, but only a little. 

So so off I went in career mode, started on expert, I have a family full time job etc so don't have time to spend ages doing setups, so thought expert would be about right. I started with Manor and got through to Q3, so far to easy there is clearly no challenge there. So started again and went to legend mode. Suddenly I can't get anywhere close to the times set in the practice sessions and in qualifying I am a second and a half off my team mate. Clearly this isn't right for me either. With no challenge in expert mode I got bored by race 10 and f1 2016 is already consigned back to its box and I am left wondering why I waisted my money.
